The Karoo Investment Funds are specialised investment funds incorporated in Luxembourg. Karoo Investment Fund was launched in May 2009 and Karoo Investment Fund II was launched in January 2011. The funds have similar investment objectives, target markets and fund structures. Investment Objective Both funds' investment objective is to deliver attractive total returns from investment in Western European and North American real estate capital markets. The funds focus on significant single investments where there is an opportunity to add value through strategic management participation and balance sheet restructuring. Target markets Western Europe, including the United Kingdom and Ireland, North America and Canada Structure Both funds are structured as closed-ended Specialised Investment Funds organised as Investment Companies with variable capital in the form of partnerships limited by shares. The funds are managed by Karoo Investments Sarl, which is in turn advised by Clearance Capital LLP and Pinelake International Limited. Both funds are listed on the Euro MTF Market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. The issue and sale of Shares is restricted to prospective Investors who qualify as “well-informed investors” as defined in article 2 of the Luxembourg law of February 13, 2007 on specialized investment funds. |
